Setting the collecting fee at $1.30, with the option of lowering i after mid-year budget w s discussed and Deputy Mayor rilson said he would be in favor of the $I.00 fee if there w e that there would not be a deficit. Discussion c ued and Commissioner Miller said he believed they could find s way to cut c make up Eor the 30 cents difference. Deputy Mayor Smerilson and commissioner Pearl objected to lowering the fee without having a plan to provide fox the budget deficit that would occur from the lower fee. Mayor Lovestrand said Mayor Lovestrand passed the gavel to Deputy Mayor 5 rilson and made a motion that $1:25 perm nth per custemer be charged for a collection/franchise fee. Seconded by Commissioner Miller. Deputy Mayors rilson said he could n vote in favor o£ the motion unless someone came up with a plan, o ied by a three t ith Mayot Lovestrand Commissionersa Miller and Pearl voting says and Deputy Mayor Smerilson voting nay. 3.
