daeigtt. We reviewed a rendering of a design incorporating bronze
emblems of the military bravdres, as well es emblwns of fire end police
ca. He said monvmenta with two towers and the pentagon circle have
beau dove arouvd the country on a regular basis. He elated this design
showed the action ofthe World Trade Cevter. Ha said the idoa was to be
upliftinK and not focus on the day we lost, but to focus on the American
spirit. He edvieed this design was vine f t two inches tell which
symbolically represents the World irado Center.

pentagon shaped bench that could be carved wilt Ieurvng. He said the gap
between the bench and center pedestal coultl be used for landscaping
givivg a park setting. Ha said the five figures holding the sphere would be
in line with the points of the pentngan.

John Pa¢eno, 109 Slade Drive, referenced two letters that wcrv sent to him
fiom the building department regarding his shed. He said on the 2]'" he
was given a specified amount oftime to get his shed approved. He said ne
in the building department wanted to help him. lie said when calling
to fivd out the status ofhis shed permit he was informed the application
had been sent to plam[ing on Apri126'". He said he called again on May
12'a t inquire to the status ofthe permit and waz informed the plans
waded to bo submitted by an engineer or architect ile said ho followed
the guidelines provided. He said he has made several phone calls and then
asked for [he names and positions of everyone in the building department.

Mr. Drago requeaed the City Commission schedule a work shop on June I3,
2005 for the purpose of reviewing Code Complianeo DisVl<ts. He reposed
Humana would oat be raising tlrehealth insurance rates for the upooming year. He
stated a meeting was held with the vov-union and union represematives es part of
the insurance r4mmiltee. He said this would probably be the last yeac for the

Mr. Drago stated he did not have a problem doing an RFP. He said only certain

Mr. Drago stated Choices in Learning came to the Commission in luly 2003

District N5. Commissioner Socket[ extended a positive reception for the Board
Appreciation Dirmer. Ho reporteU his wifecelebated a one year anniversary on

Plementary would like to thank rho airy forthe donation. He stated the original
of being done with the sidewalks along Orange Avenue and asked
what had happened.

District#I. Deputy Mayor Maingot repotted he attended [Ire DARE graduation

meander and put in some low maintenance landscaping.
Mr. Drago stated there was not adequate space to meander the sidewalks due to
the closeness of the driveways. He said further up the roadway there would be
room to meander the sidewalks.
Commissioner Andeemn stated he was reading fiom the solrocl bovrd regarding

Nonh Street. He inquired if they were told they could not have a modular
building.
