A. Presentation of the Beautification and Redevelopment Award for 225
Ronald Reagan boulevard to Ricnard T. Grimaldi antl Joe

Mayor BUndy stated the aty wanted to ecognizea building that had
undergon any tr nsf rm sthroughout the yexrs. He said Mr.
Richard G maldi and Mr. !oe Giambro ook it upon then salve
change this building from a monstrosity to an aesthetically pleasing
arahitectunl swcture in the city's Idistodc Distriu eomdor. Ha presented
Mr. Grimaldi with a BeamiR<a and Redevelopment Award for 225
Ronald Reagan Doulevard. Pictu~es were then taken.

A. Public Participation.
D Thomoson, 1163 Second Place, elder care consultant. said she works
with elder seniors and medically needy. She said.she noticed the Mayor
and Commissioners working diligently following the hurricanes. She said
[he city has worked to beautify the surrounding areas in the city and she
as proud to be a csident_ Sha said the city lost a lot of trees in the
hurzicanes. She said Arbor pay is January 2I° and she would like to see
trees available to residems at a nominal cost.

Mr. Drago reported he received a phone call earlier in the day Rom Denny Emory

be tabled to December 20'".

District il4. Mayor Bundy reported he re<eivedacell this afternoon from the
Mayor Hush of Winter Springs telling liim Judge Alley had ruled in favor oftlie
City of Winter Springs in Their lawsuit in regards to the Chener Amendment. She
did reserve mling oo the constitutionality of she amendment. He stated they had
ived any~hing in writing, but he would forward a copy of the wrinen
findings when it is available
Mayor Dundy stated Codes Enforcement was moving in the righ~ direc~ion. He
said there was a situation regarding operating a home business the[ he has asked
the City Administrator to bring to the Chief s attention- He said there were
portions ofihe codethat adequately covered this issue and he desired i~ to be
known publicly that ho was [ha one filing the complaim on thie issue. He said the
Codes Board is concerned with the number ofwses being brought before the
board.

vending. He received calls from people of Longwood Groves in regards to she

Mr. Drago said there was a problem in obtaining a labor wst for the brick wall.
They are looking at two (2) options and when the quotes are obtained they will

Administrator check into this issue.

city boards regarding Code ofEthics, Government in the Sunshine, and Pnblic
Records. He stated the wurses online were SI S and they offered a discaum on

Ethics would be helpfu4 but not es essential. He said the public Records Inw
would be helpful far city staffthat produces public rewrds. He advised elected

Deputy Mayor Maingot stated there were two different areas of education that
needed to be addressed. He said one was certainly the Sunshine Law and the other
as providing educ nabout the specifc responsibiliti softhev us boards.

boards need to participate. and come back with some numbers.
Mayor Bundy agreed they do have a responsibility to make sure members of
boards such as Roard of Adjustment or Codes Enforcement are W ucated on their
responsibilities. He stated the board attorneys do a goodjob of covering all legal
s they re s. He r commended the Sunshine Law be made
available to all board members-
Mr. Taylor said he had the website and would provide this information. He said
each course was four (4) hourx
