Deputy Mayor Anderson nominated Hanh Deng, owner of The Golden Needle

dry cleaning business, for four years and it has been located in Longwood for

Mr. Drago requested direction from the Commission on whether they should
aside the Community Building, ov the third Saturday ev ning ofeech
omh, to be used for the Hlue Grass Pickin event and rum away any potential
renters for the Comm nity Building
In response, Deputy Mayor Anderson said to put the Hlue Grass Piokin' in (he
Community Building because it is an event that is well attended and stated that
was why the Community Building was built.
Mr. Drago said that people have been requesting that Saturday and said he
would set aside the Community Building, on the third Saturday evening of
each month, to be used for the Hlne Grass Pickin' event and it will not rentable
during that time Bame.
Gommissioner Miller asked if there was any other plaoethey vould hoer the
Blue Grass Pickin' event. Mr. Drago said the only other place tv have the Hlue

Mr. Drego said he wanted to pass on a thank you to all the city employees for
all their help in getting the Community Building ready for the grand opening.

District X(. Commissioner Maingot extended his appreciatiov to all the
employces who helped in the HalloweeN Fall Festival. He said it was very

umbersof the city's fire hydrants need a side coat of paint. He suggested
cleaning them up and putting on a new coat of paint.

them are lying on their side. Commissioner Maingot said for now we need to
work with what we have and straighten the signs and put some black paint in

District d2. Deputy Mayor Anderson said, in talking with his neighbors
regarding the intersection of Grant Street and Columbus Circle people do not
Tike t stop at the stop sign end prev usly they had office ut there, bur they
did not etay very ton& He stated tha~the timethe oficer needs to be there is
right when the school buses go through in the aRemoon and in the evening
when people come home from work.
Deputy Mayor Anderson acknowledged that the city does not havejurisdiaion
u the School Board but he would like the city so try end gu the school buses
used out of the neighborhoods and onto County Road 427. He said they
send between ten and f fleen school buses through Marvin, and out to
Wildmere and (kern Street He stated that he knew there were cot ten buses
full ofchildren that live in chose neighborhoods. He said he knows he had
coed it before but perhaps the Commission can start discussion with the
Soheol Board with respectto budgeting to puts light at the end of Marvin. He
said that he knew the School Board had made some adjustments so that all the
school buses come out on Marvin and part ofwhy they decided that is because
they did not want to make a IeR turn at County Road 42]. He suggested that
this is a big enough cost that the Sohool Board would split the wst and the
Commission needed to plan ahead. He stated that the school buses have beans
little bwtu about not driving through people's yards also.

District d3. Commissioner Miller said he would like to comment on the
Tight at Marvin. He said he does not think they need a light because it is
mely expansive. He suggesed sending the School Resource Otlicer'out
there for an hou soh aftem m let the school bus and it cold
complish the aching asalight. He suggested the City Admivtstrator
should call the seltaol principal and tat him know ofthe changes. n
