Mayor Lavestmnd opened the work session at ]:09 p.m
Commissioner Maingot moved to suspend the rules. Seconded by
Deputy Mayor Buntly with all conmirring.
2. REVIEW AND DISCUSS PROPOSED FUTURE LAND USE MAP AS IT REFERS
TO 111E COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. Gail Easley, The Gail Ealey Company
Ms. Easley had prepared a hand out titled ARTICLE //, LAND USE DISTIUC]S'AND
OVERLAYUIS71tfCLS.
The Evaluation eod Appraisal Report (EAR) was Ibrwerdad to the Departnreo[ of
Community Affairs (DCA) and found sufficient. The Ers[ step in the proceu was for
smffto ending the Comprehensive Plan for [hose things which were
wined end re ended in the EAR-one bein6 the Future Land USe Map. That
being kery to the Land Development Code (LDC), is the topic for diswseion at This [ime.
With City Commission consensus, the Map, along with mxt amendments, would be
forwarded to the Land Planning Agency (LPA) for review and recommendations. Once
completed by the LPA, stafywould forward the materials for review and action by the

City Commission which would include transmitting the Map vtd rce;unendmend m the
DCA AFecr Ne DCA completed its review, they would fotwazd their commend, if any, to
the City. In the intervening time, saff and hfs. Easley would concenrrvte on compledon of
the LDC. 'IRe Commission would concurrently be reviewing:md adopting the LDC with a
dare tied ro the adoprion of the City~s Comprehensive Plan Amendments.
