I. CALL TO ORDER. Mayor Winston called a budge[ work session co order at ]:OS
p.m.
Mayor Winston advised that Depmy Mayor Veeea had rolled in requesting to be exwsed.
Commissioner Sargant moved to suspend the rules. Seconded by
Commtsaoncr Carrco.
Mayor Winston asked the guidance of the comission with respect to responding to questions
[rom oitizens in the audience.
Commissioner Sargent suggested at the end of the commission s discussion to

A. CITY COMMISSION

Commissioner Sargent, referred to line item 12011 and asked if the amount included the
salaries now being paid, or any edjurtments made. Ms. Mitchell said it ditl not reflect the

There were no changes made to the Personnel Budget as presented.

E. PARKS ANll RECREATION
Ms. Loma referted to o that hed previously been distributed to the commission and
explained the 63001ine ltem'nrequest by resdents of Sendalwootl for park equipment which
included schematics and prices at a coat of 56,000, playground rquipment for Arbor Park
that was requested by Commissioner Vacca and, e basketball court in 12ei[er Park requested
by Ms. Tinos.

Mr. Smith said Deputy Mayor Veeca hxd requested this due to lack of shade in Candyland.
Mr. Smith said he had thought of moving the equipment from Candyland but had been
discouraged from doing so. Ms. Lomax added that it would probably fall apart.

The commission agreed that the 535.000 allocaced for Arbor Park be taken

Disussion continued with regard to the 56,000 aIlocatlon for equipment in the Sandalwood
Park.
Commissioner Sargent questioned the 43001ine and w informed that it as for the cost
of water to the medians; Bach as in Shadow Nll Subdivision, explaining that depanmems

agreed to go forward even if it did roost more and to later evaluate.
Discussion ensued with regmd to: the cost to cut the medians on SR 434 and Hwy. 1]-92;
the amount furnished by FDOT, $16,000-S t'I,000per year for this median work (state only
every few months where city is m wing every tw weeks); of originally 4

Ms. Toles askeef that the commission consider installation of a basketball court in Reiter
Park.
Ms. Rebello questioned the 513,000 for additional help for the green team and the
equipment cost of S3'I,000 or more.
After considerable discussion with regard [o the equipment list famished by Public Works,
Mr. Smith said he would get rogether with Mr. Tiblier with respect to verifying the
