Mr. Hattaway explained thnt ho was representing the Business AUvisory Council (BAC).
The 6AC requested that Mr. Hattaway clarify Items #I and #2 of ehe memo dated August
28, 1995. Mr. Hatmway continueU by explaining that Item #1 was requesting that City
personnel keep a watchful eye on proparry maintenance, i.e high grass. Mr. Hattaway
explained that most peoples image of the City is creatul by drive thru traffic Mr. Smith
responded to Dopury Mayor Carrico thnt he would need to speak to Chiet Mooning
eancerving the police assisting in code enforvement on the weekends
Mr. Hattaway wntimied with Item #2 stating that he lead met with Mr. Tiblier anU Mr.
Smith to disa~ss the possibiliry of the City maintaining the rights-of-way- Mr Tiblier had
spoken to a D.O.T. representative concerning an interlocal agremnent where the City would
take the funds allocated for state road maintenance. Mr. Tiblier said that approximately
59,800 would be transferred for SR 434 and feels the City could accomplish for this $5-],000
annually.
