Mayor Gunter opened the m ing by s ing that he wanted to welcome [he members of the audience for attending the Special Meeting which w cal letl to approve an agreement between the City of Longwood anJ Altamonte Springs co ni ng the emporary a sig nment of Lonmand er Richard Beary as Acting Chi efnofrPol ice antl the confirmation of his appointment by the Li ty Administrator. He Further stated that he knew that so people came this ev ning with the thought of specking for against the r enteac [ions taken with regard to Lh ief IAa nn ing and members of his department. eMayor Gunter further stated that he regretted that there was no add itf onai information available and it would be unfair to permit any discussion of the merits of the actions taken until each of the ind iv idua is had an opportunity to decide the manner of re ew they will request, and, for that re n, he stated, o discussf on wilt be penni tted on [he issue and CM1at this rule would be observed during the meeting. 2. ApproYal of agreement between City of Altamonte spri n95 and City of Longwood regarding servf ces of Lonana nder Richard Oea ry, Altamonte Spri nqs Police Department. Mr. Kramer stated he had re ewed the agreement and found it to be legally sufficient in form and content. Mr. Terry stated it was agreea6l e. to both Altamonte Springs and Longwood and recommended that the City Lanmi ssion approve the agreement. Motion carried by a unan rmous roll call vote. 3. Conf inna tion of Appointment of Commander Richard Beary as Acting Lh ief of. Police, Longwood, Florida. Motion ca rri etl by a unan rmous roll call vote. 4. Proposed Ordinance No. O39 -Landscape Ordinance for Lity of Longwood Mayor Gunter asked Mr. Nagle [o p ent the proposed ordinance.
