Hayor Gunter i rotluced Mr. Knowles and stated Mr. Narden was expected momentarily

Mr. Knowles explained the s[ ni ng process, stating the co mittee would re w
all applications and after arthorough re 1 of their qualifications, wool dv e
select [he top 5 candidates .and a condvg roup of 5 candidates. He stated the
City Lommi ssi on would then make theefi nal selection after personal in [ervi ews
with the candidates. Mr. Knowles stated that iF Lhe Li ty conniis lion could no
find a City Administrator from the top 10 candidates, then perhaps they should
readverti se.
Deputy Nayor Oenn is stated she bet ieved 5 or 10 candidates could be selected. She
fo rther stated she was looki n9 fora high energy person and a rong co cator.
Lomn r Bull ingto stated he believed Flr. Etchberger after his naiys is of
the Ci ty,nwould be able to suggest the most desired qualit'i es needed fn a City
Administrator for Longwood. He further stated he would like a copy of ail the
applications bet n9 revf ewed by the Commi tiee and would like to re a the option
to submit a application that he believed should be co sidered wh ichv the Lonmittee
mf 9ht have o erlooketl. Pir. Knowles cited a ample of what o red in Sanford

at-.that point, the s my c ittee withdrew and he stated he believed this
would be the ca ncLongwood.o He further statetl he would withdraw and at least
e other menieber of the w Imi ttee had stated he would also withdraw. Commissioner
Hardy and Poel ki ng both ayreed that Nr. Etchber9er could advise the Lonmittee of
the type City Administrator that Longwood needs. Flaypr Gunter stated he believed
the selection of the candidates should be put in the hands of [lie Lonmittee. Ile
further stated that he w 5 looking for a good public relations person, both with
people in the Li ty and the media.

Administrator and submit 10 candidates to [he Lo n9wood City Coimiis lion for their
r w ana float selection.
