Mr. Terry stated that a the last wozk s additional capacity
allocated to foot developers and it has beenssuggested that this impl iedwa
agreement that the City woaid expand s capacity to provide additional

Simpson stated he felt the City would be wasting m ney to have aster
z plan study. Mr. Simpson stated that the plant should, however, be

ponds at Skylark. Mr. Rocnbluh stated they w e being tested and if
orking ectly they will be put into u e presently. DepMayor Goldberg
questioned the zefu[bishing of Columbus Narbor. Mr. Terry stated he would
check into this.
~ 3. -iscuss ion of Dudgeting Procedure and Approval of expenditures.
Mr. rry tared questions had arisen reg acding the expendi tune and
authoxi2 ation of funds. He stated that budgeted items a allowed t be
expended after certi £I Cation that proper funds a ail able. rated
the question regarding funds of the Ci rye Commission and stated
expenditu[e ofwafunds in this budgeted item would reg wire approval of the
entire Commission before expendituee is approved. Ae stated that
alternative, a pro rated a ant could be allowed each c andseach
ould be permitted to expend that a ant without approval of
themrenticer Commission. Commissioner Lormann stated she felt this
understood by all members of the City Commission and did not believe {he
budgeting procedure needed to be changed. stated he believed

4. Report on Purchase of Two D e
Mr. Goebel stated that, a agreed at the last work s he had c ante[
' offered and paccbased the two buses for 54,100, whichew s the a ant in his
budget line item for the buses. stated a $500 deposit hadmbeen mailed
and on Thursday, May 9, he and two orbs[ Pw people would return to Callahan
with the $3,600 balance, and pax chase the buses.
Commissioner Lozmann asked i£ the ball field lights had been sold.
Goebel stated a yet, however, Seminole County had indicated M
interest in pax chasing the entice lighting package. nole Soccer CS Ub
had also indicated an intezest, however, they only wanted to par chase the
lights not the poles. Mayor sme[il son asked i£ the old bus would be sold.
Mr. Terry ted that the Public wo [ks Department w s planning to have
used equipment sale and they were going to check with Seminole County to

consider a joint effort in disposing of used equipment.
5. Other Commission Discussion Items.
Depmayoc Goldberg and Commissioner Lormanrt both stated that the PtV

Commissioner Lormann stated that the City should consider fencing the
Church Avenue side of the BW yard.

Sem hole Community Action Committee. oatated that Commissioner Faulkner
hadrbeen appointed to represent the Ci tyeon this Committee a the beginning
of the yea[. Mayor Surer ikon stated he had s e found out [that State and
Coun[y funding for this Commlttee has been withdrawn and that the[e
charges pending against the Commlttee for m sal location and aeE
funds. He stated that other cities a withdrawing o e by o mf tour the
~COmm it tee. Mayor Surer ikon stated he w ceques ring a of opinion

Commissioner Faul kn er ntstated he w not a of any charges pending and

ould be given to a esponsible group. Mayor Smerikon stated that
the other municipalities w e perturbed that a Longwood Commissioner
oming to them £or funding Eor this Committee. Commissions[ aulkner
stated he had made it quite clear that he w not representing the City
when he requested financial support for the Committee. It the

Committee. Commissioner Faul knee voting nay. Mayoz Smerikon emphasized
that the Commissioners should clearly indicate that they not
representing the City if in fact the City Commission had not indicated
- their concurrence.
