slue for fiscal year 1984/85. Commissioner Myers asked if the City Commission was
behind in ehe rnllection of fines for security alarm violations. Chief Marn+;^z, said
that approximaeely $1E,000 was vaed the city. The Commission drrected thac efforts be

payethe fine Gmmissioner 9mrilson asked for a progeess report on ti:e colleceion
o£ delinquent Fines be mode co the Commission wirlvn 30 days. Fxpetted revenue for
Candidaee Qualifying Fees was corrected to indicaee that a total of $100.00 should be
rued. Mr. Chacey said he lad prepazed the budgee to sxrclude a 2 percent cost of
living increase for all e~loyees, a 5 percent merit in se for deserving eryrloyees
ar~d azi 8 pamene ~rerie increase for deparmene heads, theaCity Clerk, the Building
Official and the nlanvn€ ~d ZrnunE Secretary. The Commission agreed to consider the

4. The Cmmdssion then reviexd individual line mans on proposed budgee for City
Camdssion and made the following rSranEes:
Deleted the proposed 10 percent cost of living increase for ehe Cmmissi.on s
salaries.
b. Deleted the proposed increase for G, I. C.A. (Social Security Contribution).
c. Deleted the proposed increase cn mcrrtmnnc contribueion.
d. Deleted the proposed budget expmdinu-e of $11,000 Eor International Systms
since they had noe been successful in Procuring any grants for [he Ciry.
Deleted the proposed budget expenditure of $500.00 for additional office
equipmmu=it.

5. The Commission chm reviewed individual line mans for cfie budgee of the
City Clerk.
Cmmissioner S erilson questioned the propssed e~cpendiase o£ $1,500 for

cared excessive expmdicures for comWucor progranming. He said rmWutor
programming expenses were m1y justified when ie could be shwm that a defiu
financial saving waned result. Tne Gvnnission appswed the expenditure of $1500

to provide a vefiicle for use by the City Admixtistraeor and said ehe vehicle should
be retained by him for a period of 4 to 5 years.
