1. Mayor Nepp called maeting co order. Budget wrkshop review contssved witM1 Police OepC
2. It w s agreed that Police Department should have a cal of eight ce o be used a
follws:a 3 road cars - 24 hours a day and 1 spare; 2 detective cars, 1 rcarcfor Chief of
Police and 1 for Captain.

CFeE Manr;ing stated chat he needed additional perso~mel ar;d since he tad eliminated Che
dispatchers, the increase Eor road paerol could be accooq~lished withn;t in easing his

Co permit all Crnrtdssinners co attend meetings with Slate Legislature in Tallahassee.
8. At the conclusion of the individal revicv of the Adrmnistracive Budgets, Mr. Chacey
briefed Che Can;dnn on the proposed budget. After considerable discussion Mr. Ctacey
aced chae he CM1OUgh he could hold millage in o .99 or a 3.16 millage race if the
Ccm;¢'ssinn world approve the hiring of only 1 additional person fnr ehe Police, Fire and
Public Works Deparmwnt and delay hiring of the individuals until January 1, 1981 and
ehe deleeion of $10,000 wi;ich was se aside fnr impzovarevts to the City Nall. The
Cam:issioners gave tentative approval to Mr. Chacey to make the suggested ctanges eo
the budget.
