The regular session of the Longwood City Council was called to order at ]:30 p. m.
following the public hearings.
Present: Wm. J. Kl os ky, B.N. Ferrell, Dick Crenshaw, B.L. Ne ims, Mayor Eugene Jaques,
City Attorney, S. Joseph Davis, Jr.
Rbsent: E.E. Williamson.
Meeting opened with prayer by Mayor Jaques, followed by Salute to the Flag.
1. Report from City Engineer, Witt tam Palm, on the status of the sew r system. Final
plans 8 specifications were presented to co ncii. Plant are presently under review '.
by The E.P.A. & the Dept. of Pollution Control for the intercepter system.
Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Helms authorizing the Mayor to sign the appl is-.
ation §mmus to 9o to E.P.A. 8 O.P.C. as recommended by Mr. Palm. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Mr. Ferrell s conded by Mr. Crenshaw to authorize bids for the const-
ruction of a sanitary seweresystem to go to bid, bids to be returned by January 14th.

Seminole Jaycees.

Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Helms to place the bid in a work session. Carried.
7. Petition for annexation of property on Longwood Hills Road, presented to coon cil~
Mayor recommended the petition be denied. Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr.
Helms to deny the petition for annexation. Carried.
Motion by Mr. Helms seconded by Mr. Ferrell authorizing the Attorney to draft a
Resolution denyf ng the petition for an exation into the City of Longwood. as submitted
by B.R. 8l akey Ei RL. Motion carri ed.m
8. Petition tar an exation of property on SR 427, submitted by Al 5tol te, presented
to co cil. Petition properly certified by Seminole County Tax Assessor.
Motionn by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Helms to draft a Resolution of intent to annex
the property.

14. Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Nelms to grant Mr. Richard Mil is a three
weeks permit to park a trailer on his property in Devon shi re S/0 while Relatives are
yr si Ling. Motion carried.
15. A report from the City Attorney on selling the property known as the "Lf ty Oump"
Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Ferrell authori zi n9 the Attorney to proceed with
closing the transaction of the property. Motion carried.
16. Mr. Helms reported that the fire siren was broken down. Motion by Mr. Helms
conded by Mr. Crenshaw authorizing the Fire Chf of tq have the siren repaired as
as possible. Motion carried.

18. Motion by Mr. Ferrell seconded by Mr. Net ms to pay the bills. Motion carried.

and 25 for the Hol idavs. MOTION CARRIED.
20. Mayor Jaques, o step A 2 Grant. Mr. Jaques stated that the engi neerin9'~ fees
are covered under the grant.
21. Motion by Mr. Nei ms secgn ded by Mr. Crenshaw authorizing the Mayor to sign the
agreement to send to E.P.A. for payment.
22. Motion by Mr. Helms seconded by Mr. Ferrell to approve the minutes of previous
council meetings. Motion carried.
23. Motion by Mr. Crenshaw to accept the low bid of Harris Construction Co. of Orlando
Fla. for the City Hall Annex. Motion died for lack of a second.
24. The Chairman announced a work session for Wetlnes day at 8:00 p. m.
