Also: To hear the request of the Greystone Group to change the present zoning classification of property from 8-1 to AM. Present: All Council members, Mayor & City Attorney, 5. Joseph Davis, Jr. Meeting was called to order by the Chai noon, notice of public hearing was read and xpl ained by the Attorney. Mr. Tom Albers, of Trim-Tic, Inc. presented Mr. King Hel ie to make the presentation and x07 ain the zoning plan. Mr. Sam Lewis stated that he owns property on the West side of this property, also Or. G ri ssan owns property. Laurent, property owner in Longwood stated that if properly controlled would be in the best interest of the City to an ex the property. Mr. John Ki mbrough, lives imnedi ately East of the property, gave reasons why he is opposed to the PUO zoning. Mr. Kfmbrough wanted to know Longwood's Land use plan. The Chairman stated no land se plan has been adopted. Mr. Kfmbrough stated that CALNO's land use plan on the ESt side of Lake Emna Road, is 1 unit per acre, on the West side is 3 units per ac Compatabil ity of homes should be considered, this plan is not compatabie to the density of the area. Mike Jones, representing Trim-ii c, dfd not agree with Mr: Ki mbroug h. He stated that the impact would result from the green belt, not Fox Hollow. Mr. Jim Lewis stated that he had first hand information on schools in the ar and children from fox Hollow would go to Longwood Elementary. Mr. Lewis pbjectseto the high density. Attorney. Mr. James Farqua rson, President, Greystone Group. inc. requested permission to down- grade zoning classification on a parcel of land on Longwood-Markham Road where it intersects Longwood Ni lis Road, fran the present B-1 to RM Multiple zoning. Present: All Council Members, Mayor 8 City Attorney. Meeting opened with prayer by Mayor Jaques, fol towed by Salute to the Fiaq. 1. Correspondence read by the Clerk. Letter from County [ommf ssioners Re: Regional drainage problems. The Co,mnissiane rs are ready 8 willing to work with the City Of Longwood, to solve these prabl ems. 2. Mr, William Palm, Engineer- Re: Columbus Narbor. Mr. Palm 8 Mayor Jaques, met with the Dept. of Pollution Control, the Deve topers & their Engineers, regardi n9 Columbus Harbor S/D on prov ldi nq sewage treatment to the Dog Tract which the City has nmi tted itself. The main item of co control of storm water run-off. The DPC wants the first inch of run-off treated.~s The developer has requested that he be permitted a Rural Section in lieu of Miami curbs, this wiii enable him to control the n-off. Mr. Palm re arenended this type of control. This is the way to go, it will help the direct run off into Fairy Lake. Mr. Davis r amended this type of variance on drainage be allowed, as requested by the developereof Columbus Harbor 5/0. Motion by Mr. Ferrell s conded by Mr. Nelms to authorize header curbs to be installed in Lol mnbus Narbor S/D a as recommended by D.P C. Motion carried. 3. Motf on by Mr. Ferrell 5 conded by Mr. Crenshaw to approve the application to the Dept. of Pollution Control for sewerage plant, to treat domestic sewage for Dog Tract 8 Columbus Narbor S/D, Mayor be authorized to 51 yn the contract. Motion carried. 4. the Engineer stated that the drawings for Land Ave. drainage is ready, will be forwarded to the Li ty to-morrow. 5. Letters from ComBank/Cas sel berry 8 First National Bank of Maitland, Re: Bond Issue read by the City Clerk. Both Banks wilt act as paying 8 recef vin9 agent for [he city on the bonds. Mr. Crenshaw stated that he had contacted Mr. Tripp, re painting the City Hail Annex 8 the price to paint would be $ 1]5.00 14. Mr. Ferrell, finance chm. a need [hat money was needed to meet cu rent expenses. The Attorney was asked for a ruli nguon the City borrowing money.
