Present: A77 Council members, Mayor & Li ty Attorney. Meeting opened wf th prayer by Mayor Eugene Jaques, followed by Salute to the flag. 1. Letter from Mr. Georges C. St Laurent requesting r ni ng Of property from R-2 to B-1. The property fs located on W. SR 434 in Section 31, Township 20 South, Range 30 East. Mr. St Laurent gave a proposal outlined in detail for the proposed e of the property, Mr. Ferrell requested another road be cut through the property to take ca e of the traffic. Mr. St Laurent stated that this could be arranged. Motion by Mr. Crenshaw secan ded by Mr. He 1ms to hold a public hearing October 8th at J:00 p. m. on the regve st of Mr, st Laurent. Motion carried. 2. A petition for annexation of property into the City was presented to Council by the Lf ty Clerk. The petition was properly certified by the Seminole County Tax Assessor. the property is located pn North SR 42J, and M-N Mobile Nome 8 8-1 zoning requested. A letter from the Engineer Re: Highland Hi lis 5/D. The letter stated that an ns pection was made Set. J, 19J3 and some minor discrepancies were noted. No action was taken on the matter. J. Mr. K1 os kY announced a progress report on the drainage tli tch on Wil dmere Ave. The State is n the process of se uri ng easements from Droperty owners in order to drain the water into Fairy Lake. c 8. The City's drainage problem was discussed. Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. lie lms to purchase drain pipe in the amount of $ 1,000.00, Land Avenue to have top priprty. Motion carried. 10. Mr. Ralph Hanmond presented Council with an additional petition regarding the Medical Building. Mr. Hartanond stated that he had nu calls from residents to sign the petition requesting the Medical Buil di n9 tomrem s it now stands.
