CCMtg11-19-73The regular se n of the Longwood City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. following the public hearing. Present: W. J. Klosyy, B.H. Ferrell, B.L. Helms, bilk Crenshaw. Mayor Jaques, City Attorney. Absent: E.E. Williamson Meeting opened with prayer by Mayor Jaques, followed by 5111te to the Flag. Public hearing or Ordinance # 348 was contin uetl at 7:31 p.m. Mr. Wm. Pat m, City Engineer, gave a report on the project. Doe to the controversy on the matter, Mr. Palm, requested an independent Engineering report to be made. The report was made by Kvhrt and Associates, Inc. and filed with the minutes. Mr. Charles Tibbal5, from the U.S.G.S, also gave a report. Mr. Robert Hammond, z ning board member, stated that the zoning board recc rded B-1 toning for this area. Mr. Michael Dennis spoke in favor of B-1 zoning, woo ld be more beneficial to the City than R-2. Mr. Jerry Connell, Devonshire apposed the project, Mr. Jim Fisher, Devonshire was opposed to the project. Mr. Ca rysle stated that the residents of Devonshire S/D had singed a petition, and gS percent of the residents requested R._'i ne Road not to be encroached upon. Mr. Thomas Stokes, Devonshire, stated his objections to the project. Motion by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Ferrell to place Ordinance # 348 on second and final reading, by title only. R. Ordinance # 354 (Annexation of Laye-Yodel Property) Mr. Michael Dennis, stated that he was not opposed to the annexation of the property. but opposed PUD zoning. Mr. Richard Tickai, ow spoke in favor of an exatian of the property into the City. Motion by Mr. Helms seconded by Mr. Ferrell to place Ordinance # 354 on second reading by title only.
