A public hearing was held by the Longwood Li ty Council on the question of Chang inq
the zoning classification of the foil owing des<ri bed property: The East 3/4 of Lot
15 (Less N 132 ft. of W;) Bradley's Addition, from existing R-2 to M-I classification
also the W; of Lot 15(Less N 132 ft, of W;) Bradley's Addition, from R-2 Residential
to B-I Business District.
Present: All Covncil Members, Mayor, City Attorney.
Meeting called to order by the Chairman, Wm. J. K7 ozky. Notice of public hearing
reed by the Gi ty G1 erk
Mr. Pi of tan 8 Mr. Caveny were present to explain the request for the change. No one
s present opposing the request.
Moved by Mr. Ferrell s cooled by Mr. Helms to approve the zonf ng change, provided,
200 ft. of D-1 along Hwy 42] instead of 150 ft. Mr. Pi oli an & Mr. Caveny had no
objection to the requested 200 ft. of 8-1 zoning.
Roll Call Vote: Unami noun, Motion carried.

The regular se n of the Longwood Li ty Council was called to order at ]:30 p.m.
following the public hearing.
Present: All Council members, Mayor 8 Lity Attorney.
Meeting opened with prayer by Mayor, Jaques, followed by Salute to the Flag.
1. Correspondence read by the Lf ty Ller k. Letter Re: Highland Hil is S/0. The
engineer re mmended that Council accept the plans for the project subject to the
Oevel oper'scfurnishi ng the ne sary performance bond to the city. Motf on by Mr.
Nelms seconded by Mr. Fe rreil cto accept the final Plat of Highland Nil is S/D,Mayor
8 City Clerk be authorized to execute the plat.
Roll Cali Vote: Unaminou s, Motion carried.
2. Letter Re: SYylark 5/0. A detailed list of desc repanci es were noted during the
nspection of a representative of the firm of Glace 8 Radcliffe, Inc.
The Engineer stated that when the developer requests a final inspection, he would
t nsure that the unsatisfactory items noted would have been corrected & cleared.
3. Letter Re: Devonshire S/D. The contractor has informed the engineer that the
discrepancies have now been co rected, the streets have been overlayed; however in
doing so, the contractor covered up 5 qr 6 of the sanitary se manholes. It
will be ne sary to locate these manholes 8 ra se them to theefi ni shed paving
grade. Subject to the co recti on ofthese discrepancies ,and the level oper ~furni shi ng
the ne sary perfonnancerbontl, the engf neer re mended the S/D be accepted.
Final action on the matter delayed until April 26th

A work se as held following the regular session of the Longwood City
Council onsADril 19th. 19)3.
Present: All Council meTbers, Mayor Jaques.
Mr. Ai Lewis of International Research & OevelOpment as present to state
the progress of the cOmprehensi ve zoning map, land use plan, model z ni n9 and
subdivision regulations. Mr. Lewis i working with Mr. Harlan Hanson and LALANO,
New zoning regulations will be submit{ed resulting in better use Of Land, such as
Oensf ty & intensity. Mr. Lewis feels that it is a very thorough plan and will
be sutmitted to the State in May.
Mr. John Kimbrough, County LOIIM15 sinner, Re: Roads. Mr. Kimbrough stated that
County would place Longwood first on the road program, s ce the City did not
sutmit a road during the <u rent fiscal year, the Lounty~will probably consider
partf <ipati on with the Ci tyron two roads. The project must be through roads that
a joint cf ty-county us Estimates will be fvrni shed by Mr. Bush 8 Mr.
Lavender. Roads should be submitted fn a prf on ty list as soon as Dossi ble.
Mr. Joe Wig intan & Mr. Wayne Gey-Re: Sprinkler system for American Wood Products.
A 30 inch main ru ni ng from the new tank to American Wood Products would gf ve the
tlesi red volume & pressure needed. Mr. Wi gi nton Stated tha basically fire pro tech on
water is not metered.
A budget fior the Revenue Shari n9 was discussed. The amount to be budgeted is
$ 32,863.00 ~ interest that the Certificates of peposit wilt bring.
