The Longwood Li ty Council met in regular session February 23rd, at ]:30 p. m.
Present: Wm. J. Kl os ky, B.N. Ferrell, B.L. Helms, Dick Crenshaw, S. Joseph Davis, Jr.
Cf ty Attorney.
Absent: E.E. Williamson, Mayor Eugene Jaques.
Meeting opened with prayer by the Attorney, followed by Salute to the Flag.
Moved by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Helms to approve the minutes of the previous
meetings.
Correspondence:
letter from a resident of the Woodlands inquiring fire protection for his home. Letter
referred to the fire committee.

Mr. Ferrell s conded by Mr. Crenshaw to send the Mayor, Council Chairman 8 Chairman
04 the Water Lomni ttee to Atlanta to ff nd out tha status of federal funding for the
ci pal ity's sewage collection system. Councilman pick Crenshaw asked questions
ni ng Longwood's u e of the plant. Mr. Radcliffe told co ncil there is
gva ran tee of any re ve for the city's us n the regional plant. Mr. Radcliffe
stated that perhaps some Chi ng could be worked out to assure Longwood space in the
plant.
Moved by Mr. Nelms s conded by Mr. Ferrell authorizing the Mayor to sign the application
for installation of a sewage collection system for Sand lewood S/D. Motion carried
An apPli cati on for Oroperty to be an exedi nto the city was presented to council by
the Clerk. the petition w s duly certified by the Seminole County Tax Assessor.
Moved by Mr. Ferrell s conded by Mr. Nelms authorizing the Attorney to prepare an
Ordinance annexing theeproperty of Mrs. Irene Bei quo. Motion carried.
The Attorney explained the proposed agreement with the City and Trim-Tic. for the
ewage treatment package plant. Moved by Mr. Ferrell s conded by Mr. Crenshaw
r ns tructi n9 the Attorney to proceed with the contract. eMOti on carried.
The Attorney explained the proposed an exati on bill as prepared by Mr. Eugene Mooney
to be submitted to the legislature. Mr. Davis will make so modifications to the
bill. Moved by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Ferrell author~i zi ng the Attorney to make
changes in the bill B submit to Mr. Mooney. Motion carried.

Public Nearing, March 8, 1973
A Public hearing was held March 8th. at ]:00 p.m. on the question of
granting a reques tetl var~an ce of 2 ft. on property located on S.R. 42J
895 East lake St. in the Bradley's Addition. The request was made by
Mr, Walter Sutter, due to the fact that an Internal Improvement Fund has
been discovered which effects the property.
Present: Wm. J. Kl os ky, B.N. Ferrell, B.L. Helms, Dick Crenshaw.
Absent: Mayor Eugene Jaques, E.E. Williamson
Notice of Public hearing, also letter of request was read by the City Lierk.
No one was present objecting to the request.. Moved by Mr. Nelms seconded by
Mr. Crenshaw to grant a variance of 2 ft. on the setback requirement.
