The Longwood City Council met in regular ses sf on November 16th. at J: 30 j
p. m.
Present: Aii Council Members, Mayor 8 city Attorney.
Meetf ng opened with prayer by the Chairman followed by Salute to the Flag.
Correspondence read by the Li ty Clerk.
A letter from the City of Cas sel berry inviting Longwoptl City Officials to
parti ciDate in their second annual Christmas Parade.
Mr. A7 Clark-Re: Highland Hills 6/O A letter from the City Engf neer stating
that the Oroj ect had been revf ewed and that based on their investi gatf on the
drainage retention areas which had been proposed on the preliminary plat were
adequate & acceptable. Mr. Clark presented plans 8 drawings to bear out thfs
information.
Mayor Brown recaanended that Mr, Clark re-submit plans to the Zoning Board and
the Engineer, donating $ 10,000.00 to the City in lieu of the playground area.

Mrs. Weber, Mr. Crenshaw, Klos ky, Jaques voted yes. Mr. Williamson voted NO. Motion
carried.
Mt. Tom Alexander was present regarding Cable T.V. for Longwood. Mr. Alexander
recommended the Cable T.V. Ordinance be taped at next council meeting due to the
length of the ordinance, Citizens of Longwood would pay approximately $ 5.00 per. Mo.
and would be able to get 12 stations.
Moved by Mr. Williamson seconded by Mr. Klos ky to strike Section p 2 from the Ooq
Ordinance q 184. Moved by Mr. Crenshaw seconded by Mr. Klos ky to table the matter
for further study. Motion carried.

Friday for Thanksgiving Nol iday.

Bids on typewriter for the Court Clerk were opened 8 read. Mayor Brown recommended
the typewriter be purchased from Georye Stuart, Inc. Moved by Mr. Kl os ky seconded
Mrs. Weber to purchase the typewriter from George 4tuart Office Supply, Inc. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Klos ky seconded by Mr. Crenshaw to purchase two (2) "Wal ki e-Talkie"
clip on portable radf o's for the Police Oept. Mrs. Weber, Mr. Crenshaw, Klosky,Jaques
votetl yes, Mr. Williamson voted no. Motion carried.
Mayor Brown recommended that Council follow the recommendation of the Li ty Engineer

and accept the low bid to run water lines to "Shadow Hill S/D. Moved by Mr. KI OS ky
seconded by Mr. Crenshaw to award the contract to Central Florida Systems, Inc. in
the amount of $ 12.95p.00, upon Mr. Palm's reconmendati on. Motion carried.
The Mayor reconmended that Trim-Tic Day cast Of pipe to extend water if nes to "Shadow
Hill" S/D, the City furnish labor to lay sameand charge $ 50.00 per connection in
addition to the cost of the meter, in Ortler to recuperate some Of the cost of the
labor, Trim-Tic to be excluded from theconnecti On fee.
Moved by Mr. Klos ky seconded by Mr. Williamson to approve the Mayor's recommendation
excluding the two units of Trim-Tic., also instructi n9 the Attorney to pre Dare an
agreement. Motion ca rrietl.
Resolution R 202 was read by the Attorney. Moved by Mr. Williamson seconded by Mrs.
Weber to adopt ResOluti on d 2p2.

Moved by Mr. Williamson to hold council meeting On November 21 8 28. Motion died for
lack of a second.
Moved by Mr. KlOS ky seconded by Mr. Crenshaw to hold a council meeting November 28
at 7:30 p. m. MOtiOn carried.

request to change the zoning by Mr. James Gamble t0 Dectmber ]th. at ]:00 p. m. also a

City B1 dgs. Motion carried.
