CCMtg07-29-71(SP)2s Special Sea sionr July 29, 1971. A special session of the Longwood City Covncil was hold July 29th. For the purpose of reviewing the Appraisal report, ae submitted by Mr. Clif£ Jordan and Mi. Robert L. Anderson, on the land to be used for the seworage treatment plant. Present, A11 Council Members, Mayor & City Attorney. Mooting opened with prayer by Sandra Thompson Followed by Salute to the Flag. Mr. C11Yf Sordan gaup the report on the land & stated the method used in arriving at the value. Both Appraisers agreed the valve oY land was $ 3,300. per Acre. Clyde Sheffield, D.R. Schreiner, A11en Shepperd, Wa ods on Adams and Dick Me Gibbeny, all residents from Hamllt on Avenue in Longdale, were present and stated oD3ec ti ons to the proposed site. Krohne & Son to purchase the tract of land for the total sum oP $ 51,000. payable rn cash at closing with $ 1,000, deposit upon signing contract, provi dad appro prate Financing is committed Par the sum of $ 36,000. with a fini ncial instution For a term of no less than 3 years, at an interest rate oY less than 7%, howevor in the. event Mr. Arohne will not accept tRe total cash payment, then the Mayor ~ City clerk era hereby authorized to enter into a contract with said parties to purchase the land For the sum of $ $1.,000. payable $ 1,000. upon execution of contract, $ 13.700 at closing, the balance oP $ 36,300 payable on February ]., 1.972, with interest rate of 7~ secured by the proper notn & mortgage. Mayor Kalinoski recommended that Council consider purchasing the Radar Equipment on a 3 Months basis for the Police Lars.
