Williamson Meeting called to order by the Vicv Chairman, Followed with prayer by Mrs. Sandra Thompson & Saluta to the Flag. A petition for annexation into the, City o1 Longwood by Air. Soloman F. Schick , was acknowledged by City Council. Moved by Mr. Nelms seconded Dy Mrd. Thompson to file the petition for arv~exation by Mr. Schick, motion carries. Moved by Mre. Thompson seconded by Mrs, We bsr to place OraiMnee # 2 52 on first reading. Roll Call Votes Unaminous, Motion carried, the Attorney read the ordinance in full. Movetl by Mrs. Thompson secondetl by Mrs, Weber to adopt Ordinance # 25z on first roaaing. Ro11 Call Votes Brtaminous, Motion carried. Moved by Mr, Helms sec onded by Mrs. Thompson to hold a public hearing on Tu1y 15th. at 700 p.m., on Mr. Wilson Knott's request for a varrance on Subdivision requirement. Motion carried. Letter of resignation of Mr. Samuel J. Hodge, Building Inspector, was read by the Chairman. Moved by Mr. He1me seconded by Mrs. Weber to accept the resignation with regret to t¢ke affect upon obtaining a suitable roplacament, Motion carried. Motion carried. 17 A report of the Po 11 ce Commission was read by Mr. Helms. Movetl by M Helms seconded by Mrs. Weber to accept the Police Committee's salary recommendation for a merit scale, system 1n order to establisMraiaes in tho Polico Dept. Motion carried, Report {r om thf Water Committee was read by Mrs. Weber. Movsd by Mrs. Thompson seconded by Mrs, Weber to tablf the water & building commission report until June 29th. Motion carried. Moved Dy Mrs. Thompson seconded Dy Mr. Helms to hold a public hearing July 15. on the request eP Mr.Ric hard E. Webb £or a change in zoning provided tRe $ 50.00 Pee is in City hall. Motion carried. A letter £rom Mrs. Naze1 Williamson stating that a deatl tree on City Property should be removed, was received and acknowledged. The matter was re£E!ried to the Street Committee. Moved by Mrs. Thompson seconded by Mr. Helms to table the agreement {or the Mutual Assistflnca agreement until July 15th. Motion carried. The Engineer reported that the Pinal plat of Longwood Pine was acceptable since the minoc revisions had been made. Moved by Mr, Helms seconded by Mrs. Weber to accept the final Plat oP Longwood Pine Subdivision. Motion carried. Aeport on Phase #1 of the sewerage & water progress was given by the Engineer & Attorney Moved by Mrs. Weber seconded by Mr. Helms authorizi ng the Attorney to negotiate a contract with Mr. & Mrs. Walter Khrone for a 1~ acre tract of land Por sewerage treatment plant, price not to exceed $ j,000 per acre.
