The Longwood City Council met in regular session Fobruary 2$th.
at 8:00 p.m. with all council members, Mayor &~Ci ty Attorney present.

Minutes of previ ovs meetings were read & approvatl as read.
Lettors requesting property located on Hwy 494 in the5anlando
Springs Subdivision to be annexed into the. CSty of Longwood, were
read by the Chairman. This consisted oY Lots 1,2,3,4.17.18,& 19
Blk. 8 Tract # 4, ownetl by Mrs. & Mrs, Edgar B. Loguo, also Lots 9,
10,31 ,1.2,1.J.1.4,1.5. & 16 Blk. B Tract # 4 owned by Mr, & Mrs. Masan
Facemire, The. property owners were advised to comply with the
Ordinance. on a1!1!exation & present properly signed petition with M.ap
showing the area to be annexed.
The r<:quest o£ Nr, Edward McClaron to close & vacate Came l3ia Streot
from Evergreen Ave. to Hwy 434 was referred to the Straat Committee
Sor study.
Mr. FraNClin Ramseur presented council with a revised Plat o£
Longwood North Homesites and ask {or tendative approval oY the Plat.
Moved by Mr. Saques seconded by Mrs. Thompson to-tendativaly approve
the Plat as to layout and permit the applicant to proceed with the
final Plat subject to all roqulations oe the City. Motion carri ad.
The enginaxring agreement as prspared by C1ace & Radcliffe. Inc, was
presented to council for review.
Moved by Mr. Saquea seconded by by Mr. Helms to enter into the
contract with Clace & ftadc liffe Inc. also authorizing the Mayor to
execute tho contract. Motion carried.
Moved by Mrs. Weber second etl by Mr. Saques authorizing Clace &
Ratlcli FFe Inc. to check tho status of Longwood on the matter of
obtaining sewerage. Motion carried.

Mr. Jaquee announced that the Longwood Fire Dept, had been approached
by the Merchants Association to came into Sanford Plaza and take
Children to ride in the £ire truck, also that Commercial enterprises
are. interested in contracting for fire protection from the City. The
Attorney stated the Insurance CarriE;r should be contacted regarding
coverage, Fire Committee requested to study the matter & make rec om e
m nd-
ations aS to agreements with areas outside. thE: City.
The Chairman appoi ntsd the PAayor & Mr. Jaques to start preliminary
work on a districting plan for tho City
Moved by Mrs. Thompson seconded by Mrs. Wa bar authorizing the Attorney
to amend Section 6 of Ordinance N 207, also to clarify the di Yini tion
of Jurdt Cars.

Moved by Mr,. Caqu es seconded by Mrs. Wobor authorizing the Mayor to
ampl oy a person to pick up stray dogs in the. City, the cost not to
sxceed $ 1..$e per dog, also to chock insurance coverage regarding this
operation.

The V.P.W. requosted permission to install a Plag in Longwood
Memorial Gardens Cametery. Matter referred to Cemetery Committee,
Res olvti on ~ ].Bj was read in full Dy the Attorney, Moved by Mis.
Thompson seconded by Mrs. Weber to adopt the Resolution. Unaminous
vote, Motion carried.
Resolution # 184 was read in full by the Attorney,MOVed by Mrs.
Thompson seconded by Mr. Jaques to adopt the Resolution
