Meeting opened with prayer by Mrs. Sandra Thompson followed by Salute
to the Flag.
The request oY Mrs. Thomas to Duild a duplex in the R-1 zone. was read
by the Chairman.
The following residents in the area objected to the change in zoning.
Mr. Charles LaFOa, Robert Gunkel, James Ledford, Louis Sherwin,E.E Philpott
Georgs Walters, William J. Klosky,
No one was prosent to speck in behalf o£ tha request.
Moved by Mrs. Thompson seconded by Mr. W111iamson to deny the request.

The request of Mr. T.C. Hraruion {or a change in lot sizes rn the R-2
zone was revs awed by the Council.
Movetl by Mre. Thompson seconded by Mr. Williamson to continue the public
hearing on Mr. Hrannon's request until ~~$$ p.m. Fobruary S1. Motion
carried. The Chairmen adjourned the meeting.

recommendations for the Council to consider in the coming year.

County Commi ssionor Mr. John &im brough, was present at the meeting` ( j
the agreement between the-City of Longwood & Seminole County was
presented by the Attorney. The contract is now cn Yorce. Moved by
Mrs. Thompson secondotl by Mr, Jaquss to hold a public hearing on the
request for change in zoning for Lot 5(Less 5. 38 ft) Block 1, of
Ratheryn Park, Lot 14, Fairy Lake Manor &a11 of State Rd, 15-600
([I.S. Nwy 17-92) as described in Ordiance # 231. at 7e45 p•m. Feb.
31, 1971. Motion carried.
Mary Will Crei Yer requested an exception to the Commercial zoning
on Lot 12 Block A. oY Talmo Replat to allow 0£Yi ce with storage.
Moved by Mrs. Thompson aec ended by Mrs. Weber to hold a public hearing
on the request February 11 at 7,30 p.m. Motion carried.
Mr. Roger Berry was present representing owners of 12 acres of land
Conti gvous to the present City limits desiring to be annexed to the
City to construct a condominium mobile home park. Council Chairman
requested the matter be delayed until Council members can study the
area. Moved by Mrs. Thompson sec ended by Mrs. WP ber to refer the
matter to the zoning board for study & recommendation. Motion carried.
Mr. Amos Jones reported on a recent £1rn at the home of his parents
on W. SaN.ando Sptinga Dr. Mr. Jonea stated that Insurance adJusters
blamed the fire on Faulty inspection by the building inspector. The
cause o£ the fire coultl have Deen prevented if the-inspector had
made a Detter Yinal inspoc ti on.
A letter regarding the stop signs at the intersection of Wi ldmere &
Grant Street also at the intersection oY State Rd. 434 & 427 was read
by Mra. Thompson. Lotter referred to Mr. Fisher for study. Moved by
Mre. Thompson seconded by Mr. Nelms Snstructing the. Attorney to tlraft
an Ordinance regarding closing hours & days of Hars.
The Mayor, Mr. Jaques & Mrs. Thompson asked to look into the matter oY
