CCMtg04-08-71195 Regular Session April 8, 1.9p1 The Longwood City Council met in rE!gular session April 8th. at 8:00 p.m. with all Council members, Mayor & City Attorney presant. Meeting opened with prayer by Rev. Mrs. Ruth Grant £ol lowed with Salute to the Flag. Moved by Mrs. Thompson sF.c onded by A1r. Jaques to di spans with reading tha minutes oP previous council me<: tings also to accept them as rac eived by all Council membars. Motion carri ed. Moved by Mr. Jaques saconded by Mrs. Weber to hold Council meetings at 7,30 p..m. instead of B:00 p.m. Motion carried. Mr. Soo Wi ginton, nresi dent Longwood Area Chamber Commerce, appeared before Council to obtain assis tanca in using County sidewalk Yorms. The Chamber of 6ommnrce is undertaking a project of constructing sidewalks 'on State Rd 427 South to Milwae Sr. High. Council Chm. assured f.?r. Wiginton that whin ready ha would appear be:fora the County Commissioners to ask for use o£ the sidewalk forma, Col. Donovan spoke on thn disc ontinanca of trash in the City. The Mayor suggestad Garbage Collectors serving the area also take the trzsh. Council Chairman stated that a solution to tha problsm is being considered, A latter £ram Mr. James W, Harry requesting property on k'est Hwy. 434 bE: annexed to the City oY Longwood. The City Clerk was instructad to send the. petition along with Map to the County Tax Assessor for certification. Letter from Land Enginaering Co. ragarding the Subdivision knovm as Longwood Pine was revsewed by Cpunci 1. The praliminary Plot Plan referred to tho Planking & Zoning Board for study. Lettors from Mr. Samuel J. Hodge & Mr. Luke. Summers resigning from the Planning & Zoning Hoartl read by tho Chairman.
