Mr. Bob Burge & Joo LaMirande, approached the Council regarding 1
the possibility of re-surfacing Warren Ave. from its intorsec tion
with S.R. 474 west to W11ma Street in ordsr to offer a batter
acc eas road to a 72 acre tract of land located bstwe en Warren Avo.
& Longwood-Markhflm Rd.in order to develop a enbdivision for new
homes in Longwood. Council weed to take the matter under advise
m ent, £i nance comma tteo also requested to check ftinde in the pavin g.
Bids on water pipe & euppli0s were opened & read.

Southern Pipe & Supply Co. 2,885.75 Bids were referred to
M.r. Fiahor for study & recommendation.
Mr. Robert E. Hayden o£ Opportunity Lnc. was present regarding
permission to soli clt fox the Opportunity Scholarship program.
Mr. Hayden was requested to send to City Ha11 a letter making a

Mr. Fl aher reported on the pipe blds & rac ommend ed the bid be awarded
to Hughes Supply Co. the low bidder in the amount of $ 2,209.64
Moved by Mrs. Weber seconded by Mr. Helms to accept the bid of
Hughes Supply Co. as rec ommanded. Mation carried.
A letter from Air & Water Pollution Control regarding burning in
the opon was read by the Attorney. This prohibits burning at the
City dump.
Moved by Mr. Helms seconded by Mrs. Weber ,to acc apt the bid of Central
Fla. Fire Equipment Co. for the Radio Alerting System in the. amt, of
~$ 948.50. as rec ommendad by the Fire Chief., -Motion carried.
