CCMtg07-01-69 Public Hearing July 1, 1959 A public hearing was held July ~ at 7:30 p.m. on the question of changing ordinance ,~~ 143~Exhbit A"} to acid another district classification to be known as R M Multiple Family Residential District~~ to provide for Multiple family dwellings, including apartment bldgs. & complexes, to consider the question. of changing Lots 9 through 14 B1k, 6 Amended Replat of ~ildmere in the said R-M district. Prestnt; Eugene Jaques, H,A. Scott, James A. Brown, B.H. Ferrell, Mayor Kenneth R, Brown & S. Joseph Davis, Attorney, Absent: E,E. illi~mson .The meeting was called to order by:Ma~4r Brown acting chairman. The pity Attorney cans asked to give a summary of previous action taken on-`the matter, The notice of Public'hearng-regarding the meeting was ,read bq the Clerk. Attorney Michael I'~Ielvin representing.Mr. David Meadows stated that in his opinion ordinance J, 201 was a vaild ordinance and Chet multiple dwellings should be permitted to be build on the lots as requested by Mr. Meadows, Mr. Meadows stated that four units would be built at the present time using septic tanks and later a sewerage treatment pls.nt would be built. Attorney Melvin stated that his Clients had spent a considerable sum of money expecting to build-,tho units due to action taken by the Council in 19b8. I~ir, Paul Jord€~n expressed opposition to the Multiple units being constructed, and five. petitions with numerous signatures of the surrounding property owners expressing opposition were .presented to the Council. Mayor Bro~rn stated that a fnai decision wiil be made at the Juiy 10th Cour_cil meeting, Moved by Mr, Jaques seconded by Mr. Scott to adjourn the meeting until July 10th. Motion carried. Present: Eugene Jaques, H.A. Scott,.James A. Brown, B.H. Ferrell, Mayor Kenneth H. Brown, Jr. ~. Joseph L~.vis, Jr. Attorney. Absent: E.E. ~?'illiamson ~l'eeting called to order by IwIayor Brown acting cahir~nan. Notices of the public hearings as published in the Sanford Herald were read in full by the City Clerk, Igo objections were registered to the proposed changing of the zoning of tla~ described properties in the notices.
