Scott Meeting called to order by Mayor Brown acting .chairman, 'Minutes of previous meetings .were .read by the City Clem, Moved.. by Mr. Jaques seconded by Mr. Brown to accept the minutes as rsad. Motion .carried., Mayor Brown announced that-the City of Casselberry had leased a Bus from the Orlando Transit Co, for passenger service, and suggested that 'the City of. Longwood participate in this service. Moved by_Mr. Ferrell seconded by Mr. Jaques for Longwood to participate with Casselberry for Bus service with the Orlando Transit Co.for a three month trial peroid, the cost to be approximately $ 35.0.00 - - Motion .carried. Mayor Brown appointed James A~ Brown to cont¢ct Mr. Tom rapier regarding ,the City's .action regarding the matter, 'also tv investigate a pe?~nanent pick-yap place for the service. The resignation of .Mrs. Ruth Layo eff active September 1, 1969 was read by Mayor Brown. Moved by itr. Bro~~. seconded by Mr. Ferrell to accept the resignation with deep regret. ~I'~otion carried. The Bids on the pipe, meters & f fixtures were turned ~-over to ?~'ir. Fisher City Supt. to be .opened, read & compared. Firms bidding were as follows: B & H Sales, Inc. 3,520.45 Davis Meter & Supply Co. 3,749.61. Hughes supply, Inc. 3,681.$1 Southern Meter & Supply Co. 3,920.21 - Ngr. Fisher stated .that all bids were in order and.. that B.~ H. S~.les, Inc, was the low bidder. v'v ~. -- ~oved by l~.r. Brown seconded by I~r. The Attorney-announced that the South Seminole Bank was asking. for a first lien on the City°s water revenue and a secondary pledge of the tttili ty tax from the water bills on a Month? y or ~uar~erly basis to secure the loan tv~extend the water works, The pity Council agreed to participate on a Monthly basis, the Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance as soon as possible in°order to obtain the loan. ~'io~aed by ~?Ir. Mayor Brown recommended that Police Chief R.E, Sweat be paid full salary for the Months of June.& July, in the amount of $ 280.00.for each Nionth, Council approved this recommendation. Mr. Ferrell stated that an error was made in the 1968-.1969 budget for the salary of .the desk Sergeant & Court Clerk and should. be corrected, Moved by Per.
