Absent: Donald Conway.
Meeting called to order by Chairman ~~lilliamson, minutQs of previous
meetings read and a~pr~vec~,as..read.
The Audit report for the fiscal year beginning November 1 .1965- and
ending October 31, 1966 was read by Mayor Lormann.
-The contract between the Seminole County Humane Society and the City of
Longwood regarding the care and boarding of stray dogs was read. Mr.
,Maloney agreed to contact the Humane Society regarding the re-newal of
the contract.
~ A letter from Mr. Cliff Borneman requesting Myrtle Street be opened in
~ order to use his carport was read. The matter was referred to the
street dept.

Mr..,Lero~'~'requested a street light on Maine Ave. Moved by I~r. Jaques
seconded. by Mr. Maloney to iflstall a light on pole ~r 4BB89 on Maine 'Ave
.Motion carried.
A petition requesting the Council to close and vacate that certain
portion of Cleareder Street running between Lake Avg. and Maine Ave.was read
Moved by Mr. .Jaques .seconded by Mr. Scott to table the rt!atter for
further study. `Motion carried.
Moved by Nar. :Maloney deconded by I~Ir. Scotb to rise patrolman.
Robert Bailey's salary from the present $ 350.40 per month to ~ 375.00
effective February 1, 1967
Roll call vote was unaminous, motion carried. Moved by Mr. Maloney
seconded by Mr. Jaques to establish a petty cash fund of $ 50.~J4 for
use in the police-dept. making the police chief responsible. 1'~otion
loved by Mr, Maloney seconded by Mr. Scott fio employ Mrs. Guth.kayo
as police radio ~ telephone operator~at a salary of $ 200.00 per Mo.
also as clerk of the Municipal Court for ~ 50.00 per mo..Motion_
carried.
A resolution .of the vity Council providing for the comrn~e~idation of
Brian A. Snow, was read~in full. Ntoved by P`ir. Jaques seconded by
~'Lr. 1~'faloney to adopt the resolution. Motion carried & resolution.
i~ 163 was adopted.
A resolution on the paving of Re-ider Ave. from: Qa~ Street to Oleander
Street in the City of .Longwood was read in full. ldo action was taken
on the resolution until some changes are made.
l~r. Vincent I~ilitello complained about ur..sightly condition of properly
neafi his home on Oak Street ~ throughout the City. 'Lhe matter was
.ref erred to the ~~ayor to enforce the ordinance on cleaning property.
~^ir, Jaques read the monthly report of the volenteer fire dept.
Mt. 'Zom Pratt from .the So. Seminole Jaycees was present and announced
the sponsoring of a ~~~i--or Citizens. club by the Jaycees and invited
residents of the area over~_60 years of age to join. He ~announc~d.
the meeting to be held in Casselberry on February nth at 2:00 p.m.
