The Longwood City Council met .n an emergency session

Present; E,E. ~Filliamson, Eugene Jaques, I.A. Scott, Ronald. Conway?;•
Mayor Lormann.
?Meeting called to order by the chairman, A letter frog? Police Chief
N.D. Shinn notifying the Council & Mayor that an emergency situation,
due to the fact that there-were no cars to patrol the city or answer
complaints did exist, was read by the Mayor. Mayor Lormann read
several prices submitted to him by various firms to the council,
for a. patrol car.
Moved by Mr. Conway .seconded by Mr. Scott to purchase a Plymouth
Belver~it°e~ from Simpsor_ Motors of Orlando, for their bid of $ 2,359.OQ
for use in the police dept. due to this emergenc}~asituation.
Roll call vote was unaminous, motion carried.
Moved by Mr. Scott seconded by Mr. Jaques to make the necessary repairs
to the ].965 Chevrolet patrol-car as soon as~:possible in order to get
it back in service. Roll call vote was unaminous, motion carried.
The resignation of Donald Conway, eff ectiv~ January 1, 1968 was read

in f~ali by the chairman. Mr. Conway~s reason for resigning from the
council being that he would be moving .from the city limits of
Longwood in the very near future. Moved. by Mr. Jaques seconded by
Mr. Scott to accept the resignation with regret. Motion carried.
Moved by Mr, .Scott seconded by Mr. Jaques to adjourn the meeting.
