Motion carried, The matter of John Deacon authorizing the Grader to be repaired at a cost estimated at ~ 1,500.00 ens discussed at len~~h, Mr. Jaques stated-that other Cities in this locality spending over ~ 100.00 required the. approval of the council, and requested that this be the policy in Longwood., Moved by Eugene Jaques seconded by E.E, Williamson that anyone spending aver ~ 1130,00 must coins before the council for approval. Motion carried. Mr. E.E. T~illiamson called attention to the need ~f sidewalks 'in a section of the City near the Elementary school. Moved by E,E. Williamson seconded by Eugene Jaques to . authorize the street committee. to investigate the cost of side-walks on Orange Avenue from Grant Street to Highland Street and fron Highland .Street to the Longdale Subdivision.
