The Longwood City Council met,in regular session March 4, at
8:00 p.m,.

Meeting called to nrder by president pro-tem, Minutes of
DreVlouS :zeetings read & approved as read. 'Mr. Kenneth~Rodd
was present to explain his reasons for a request of re-
zoning of his property. He was advised to oresent proper Iii
legal description in order that action can be ta?ten.
Mr. L.T.. Hunt, Jr. stated that the Longwood Hotel will oper_
in approximately one F?eek and that the City's ordinances

Janes R, Reiter approached the council ir_ regard to the
proposed stock car race track coring into the city, It c~~as
descided to give an ar_swer March 11th as to the council's
stand on the matter, after consulting the city attorney.
Bids on the proposed paving of Maine ave. opened ~: tabulated.

president, Moved by T~hite, seconded by Ferrell to adopt
the resolution Ferry vthite-yes, B.L. Helms-yes, B.H. Ferrel
yes, Carl Lommler-yes, Mofiion carried and resolution ~~ 160
was adopted.
Moved by White seconded by Helms to write to Secretary of
State for a copy of the City Charter with all amendments ~
acts to-date, Motion carried,
A letter of appreciation and recommendation for renumeration

checking. Moved by Ferrell seconded Nelzrs to award the

as per their quotation of S 18,521,05 Motion carried..-

City°s water supply, Moved by Ferrell seconded by Ilhite to
instruct A.E. C'Neall _~ssociates, Inc. to advertise for bids
on the City°s aeration. E~ chl3ration facilities , bids to be
