P.ankin & Co. to audit the city's records for'°the fiscal year
beginning ;November 1, 196 and ending October j1, 1965.

Mr. Deacon stated the reason he voted against the ordinances
setting the millage and fixing the budget at :.the begir_ning o
the meeting. I~Tr. Deaton also read certified copies of lega
documents regarding the drainage of Longdale. There-is a
possibility that a large amount of money mayibe n°eded to
take care: of the drainage ditcYi in the Lon~dale subdivision.
The documents states that tree ditch shall be !no wider than
4 ft. or deeper than 10 ft.'' The ditch is no~i 2C' ft. wide &
1G ft. deep. Alsc the budget did not include a,jail.
Mr. Deaton made .this request: T}~:at when & if the City of
Longwood, transacts business a. copy of the transaction be ir.
the City Hall files.
Mr. D:eatom also made a statement to the press:., ^lhat. he nor
any. member of the Council, including the Mayor Y~ad never
made a statement to the effect that the taxes in Longwood
should be doubled.
