Williamson Absen : J. R. Reiter. Mr, C lson acting as Chairman called the meeting to order,. Minutes of the: previ us meeting were read and approved. _ Mr. H. H. Haynie requested a street light at the corner of Grant and dine St. Refer~~d to the Street Committee. Irlr. John Saunders requested Short St. be grade Mr, Farina was instructed to grade Short St, as soon as possible. i7rs, I~cEvers entered a complaint about dirt that had been dumped on Msgnolia St. This auses water to overflow onto her property, Ifir, II1~k Myers: from the Better Billboard co. of Orlando requested permission to ereet~signs on property i,~ Longwood. The Council will look into 'the matter. Mr, C ~lson read Ordinance X147 in full. An Ordinance to provide for the issuari~ce, payment, duration, expiration, transfer and revocation of'Occupational licen~es: in the 'town of Longwood, Fla. Niotio~lby I~tr, Hopkins seconded by Mr, Scott. to instruct the Town Attorney draw up a l use between the Town of Long.~raod and the Jr, Chamber of Commerce to erect a bu'l~ing on the property they have ask for. Council approved, Motion by Mr: Hopkins seconded by 2Sr, Scott for bids to be requested on 12 and 2 tone-rucks, cab and chassis only, bids to be in the Town Hall by 12:00 noon August 20th,' Motion carried. ' Motio ~ by NLr. E. E, ti~Tilliamson seconded by Mr. Hopkins that Iti11er radio co, of Sanfo~ , be instructed to proceed with the necessary change as laid down by the F. C, ~C, commission regarding the Longwood, police mobile unit. Motion carried. Motior~.by Mr, Scott sec©ndee by Mr: Hopkins that all delinquent vaater bills be paid *~thin 10 days or service will be discontinued. Motion:~carried. NIotio~by Mr. Scott seconded by i$r, ~Willaamson that~the various billabe paid and the f~incial statement be accepted. Nlotion carried. Motion by Mr, Hopkins seconded by Mr,~Scatt that the bid by Johnny~s Gulf service be ac~ pted for the next three months, provided the 3¢ Federal tax on gas and the 6~on oil be returned to the Town of Longwood; carne d.
