The minutes of the regular session August 7, 1958 were read and approved. Mr. Screeney asked if torm would work with Chamber of Commerce in beauti Eying :Church-Street and placing a Longr~ood sign at the East end of Church Street.>~Council will have to contact Commissioners of Seminole County to get information regarding the placing of signs on the road right-ofway Mr, Rogero was present to extend thanks for the use of tine park and the cooperation received at the Political Meeting, Stree$ light was requested for the East end of Lake Street. Council okayed it. Mr. Carlson read Ordinance No. ]J~.O entitled."An Ordinance of the Town of Longwood, Florida, Regulating the weight of trucks on Church Street in said Tokm." Motion by Mr, Scott seconded by Mr, Reiter that Ordinance No. 11.0 be adopted a§ read. I~Ir, Scott, Reiter, Helms, Carlson voted aye, Mr, Williamson voted present. MOtiora carried. Ordinance No. 139 was read for its third reading. Motion by I~r, Reiter seconded by l~s, ;s7ilLiamson that Ordinance No. 139 be adopted as read, All council members voted aye, i3~otion carried: Mr, Carlson read beer, wine and liquor license applications.' Motion by 2+Ir, Helms seconded by 1'=r. Scott that lioenses be granted the follo-~ring: Beer license, W, L, Johnson and Don & Geri's. Beer & Wine License, C. F. Baker. Liquor License, Helen Petrick, Longwood Hotel. Motion carried. Dr. Culpepper asked if Jessup Street which runs ir_ front of duplex he is building could be opendd. Cog}ncil agreed,to open it. Motion by Mr. Scoti seconded by NIr, Reiter that Buildi_*~g Permits be issued to the folio-,ai.ng: Lamarr Helms, Johnson & Culpepper, Willia~n F, Litke, ~ioodrow Prescott, Motion carried. Motion by Nir. Scott seconded by Mr, Reiter that X3000,00 be transferred from the ~rTater Works to the General Fund, Motion carried. Motion by Mr, Scan seconded by i~3z~, Helms that the various bi11s be paid and the financial statement be accepted. Motion carriedl Equalization Meeting set for September 29, 1958 at 8:00 P.M.
