The Tow n Counci-1 met in regular Session, Thursday
June 7th. at 8 F.lti.
A1.1 members present.
1.The minutes of the previous meeting were read and-app=
roved.
2. In compliance with request of -Mr. 3~ohnson,~+ir. Reams
~ offered a motion that the iNater Department be authdrized
to p~,orchase X00.0'- of 2" galvanized pipe and 500 • of 3/4"
Galvanized pipe.Seconded by Bar. Reiter, Carried.-
3.NIr.: Johnson made a metion,.seconded by Mr.Arnold that
the Town of Longv?ood enter .into contract withe the Rozier
Machinery Company of Orlando,, Florida in the purchase of
one used Galion Motor Grader; Model 303, on basis of gross
price of X4500.00 with a deduction of X1000.00 for the
Town" Huber Maintainer".Payments to be X1700.00 cash and
12 mgnthly payments of 150..00 each.Each note be~.ring
I interest.The Chai.^man called for apolled vote.

At conclusion of the reading, Bar. Arnold offered a
notion that Resolution ~ 12 authorizing the extension of
the water service ar~d that said resolution be incorpor-
ated in the minutes of this meeting,Secondad by Mr.Reams.

Mr. t'Vells complained about the noise and speeding at the
corner. of East. Lake and Molnar 3treet.Fie claimed the open
mufflers and the start of the hot rod races from that corner
and petitioned tr:e Council to act on this matter.
Mr. Norris of the Sentinel spoke about the hot rodders in
fiIP and how difficult it was for the police to-catch them.
xe claimed they are out of hand and if a large police force
could not control them,he could appreciate the difficulty
-Chief Layo had.
M:r• Carlson informed ~s. V~ells that he and the entire Counc' '
regretted the matter and• also advised Chief Layo tY.at if he
found it necessary to use a strit~ter enforcement of the
law, he had the confidence of the Councils.and he shculd ',
make every effort to stop the noise.-
With reference to the crossing at Church St & the RR, 89r.

Ha.yor Screeney spoke regarding the time lsmit for the
construction to start after the buildre recesves the
building permit.He suggested that such construction as
covered by the permit sho=ald start within six months and
be completed in one year.By unanimous consent the matter
was re~rred to the Zoning committee for action.
Hr. Johnson mentioned tree dangerous ksazard which. the
wire on the ball field creates.He ~Zeinted~dut the fact thatl!~
in the dark,a person could be badly hurt ~f they ~aalked ir._t+
the wire and suggested that it be removed after each game.
The Chairman referred the matter to ~r~ Arnold who will
contact'the Little League chairman.
