Mr. t'Vells complained about the noise and speeding at the corner. of East. Lake and Molnar 3treet.Fie claimed the open mufflers and the start of the hot rod races from that corner and petitioned tr:e Council to act on this matter. Mr. Norris of the Sentinel spoke about the hot rodders in fiIP and how difficult it was for the police to-catch them. xe claimed they are out of hand and if a large police force could not control them,he could appreciate the difficulty -Chief Layo had. Ha.yor Screeney spoke regarding the time lsmit for the construction to start after the buildre recesves the building permit.He suggested that such construction as covered by the permit sho=ald start within six months and be completed in one year.By unanimous consent the matter was re~rred to the Zoning committee for action. Hr. Johnson mentioned tree dangerous ksazard which. the wire on the ball field creates.He ~Zeinted~dut the fact thatl!~ in the dark,a person could be badly hurt ~f they ~aalked ir._t+ the wire and suggested that it be removed after each game.
