A Resolution authorizing the cutting off, of street
Lig~zts 'and extending the street Lightdr~:g ~ontract
for ~. period equal to that over which said street
Lights are' CU.t Off,
V'r1REti~:.A.~, the Town of .~ongwood, on the
one part, and 1~lorida~Yublic aerviee t;o,, on the other part,
..entered into a street Lighting Contract on the 15th, day of
';~vov. 1929, for a term of not less than five years, and VV~R:EA
at this time the town of ~,ongwood, for reasons of economy, ar
',the ~~lorida ~'ublic service ~o. being willing to eo-operate,
;the Town. os' Longwood has requested .~~lorida public service Co,
to discontinue the street lighting service under the' aforer~er
jtioned contract for the present, and iHEREA~, Florida ~'ublic
~~e_r•vice Co. has accepted the request coL-~tingent upon. the t`ovm
oaf Long+~rood continuing the aforementioned contract for a like
~peri ad of time that the aforer~enti~rsed 'contract stays inoper-
3ative or dormant, which period of time shall not exceed four
1m.onths;. arsd also the terms and conditions oz" the aforementior
~,eontract .shall rernair~ during the;:extended or continued period
Hof time, and there shall be no charges under said contract by
the Florida Public Service ~o. during that period of time in
y~hich the eor_tract is inoperative or dormant, ~Tp~~V, T~-iEREFC:E~E

continued for a period not to exceed four months, and that
during said .period of time Florida Public Service Rio, shall
knot make any cri~rges for lighting under that certain contract
~enter-ed into between the 't`own of Longwood ar~.d Florida :public
~~erviee Co, as of i~Tov, 15, 1929, tend as a consideration by
Florida Public service Co. to the To~~ of Lor!g~ood for the
discontinuance of service for the a~'orer~entioned period of
time, the Town does hereby agree to and does cor_tinue and ext
the aforementioned contract, said exter_sion~to begin on Gov,
l6, 1934, for a like period of time that the aforementioned
contract remains inoperative and dorrr~ant, and else according
Ito the same terms and conditions set out in the aforementione
contract.
