Ordinance 91-1044WHEREAS, the current City Hall is presently inadequate to
meet the needs of the City, nor will it be able to provide for the
future growth of the citizens of Longwood; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to request the
citizens of Longwood to authorize the purchase or lease -purchase of
the Longwood Village Inn Building to be used as a new City Hall;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it enacted by the City Commission of
the City of Longwood, Florida, as

ECTION 3 This Ordinance is adopted in accordance
with the Revised Charter of the City of Longwood, Florida, as
amended and adopted, and in accordance with Florida Statutes,
Section 16-41.
SECTION 2 This Ordinance authorizes the Iease-
purchase or purchase of the Longwood Village Inn to be used as a
City Hall, subject to the authorization of the voters at a duly
held referendum.
This Ordinance authorizes the holding of
a Referendum o ember 5 —, as to the authorization by the
voters of the lease -purchase o= purchase of the L ng ood village
Inn to be used as a City Ha11. The exact wording of the ballot
question shall be as set forth in a Resolution o£ the City
Commission for that purpose.
Conflicts. All ordinances o parts
thereof in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SEC sever ability. shouia any section,
paragraph, clause, sentence, it word, or provision of this
ordinance be declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a
whole or any part hereof, not so declared to be invalid.
