WEEREAS, the crtrzens of the City of Longwood want the ability
to contact the distributor, author, publisher or sponsor of
unsolicited materials to request that additional unsolicited
materials not be delivered to them; and
wNE t rs rn the interest of the health, safety artd
general welfare of the crtrzens of Longwood to have access to the
names and address of the distributor, author, publisher or sponsor
of unsolicited materials, or to have a legentl on unsolicited
materials indicating an address where a request for discontinuance
of distribution of such materials can be sent.
ECTION 1. The Longwood City Code shall be amended to include
a newly created sectron 9-13, which shall read as follows:
Section 9.13. Identification or Leeend Reauiied on
It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute, ca ,
throw, or otherwise place unsolicited circulars, handbills,
political materials, newspapers, magazines, or merchandise on
private residential property, that does no[ contain either the
name and address of the person or entity who rs the
distributor, author, publisher or sponsor of the unsolicited
material, or a Legend prominently stating "if any recipient of
these materials does not wish to recerve future materials
delivered to his/her residence, a letter or card so indicating
can be sent to (Address.
ION 2: Conflicts. All ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.

clause, sentence, item, word, or provision of this Ordinan<e be
deeclarsd invalid by a court o£ competent jurisdiction, such
decision shall no Y. affect I.he valldi.ty of this Ordinance as n whole
or any part hereof, not so declared to be invalid.
