SECTION 1: PUAPOSE~ SCOPE. This Ordinance
vs enacted for the purpose of complying with Section 6 of Special

and referred to as the 'City of Longwood Local Land PLa nning
Agency ordinance".
SECTION 3: REATION OF LOCAL LAND P NG AGENCY.
There is hereby created the City of Longwood Local Land Planning
Agency, whose membership shall. be composed of the same persons
who serve upon the Zoning Comm zss von as created by Resolution
No. 180 of the city of Longwood, Florida, and whose terms of
office shall be the same and concurrent with [heiz terms of off

Purther, that the members of the City of L good Local Land
Planning Agency shall be appointed at the same t>me and in [he

SECTION 4: IES A
PI~ANN.ING A The City of Longwood Land
Planning Agency shall, in stxv ct accordance with the Seminole
County Comprehensive Planning Act of 19'14:
a. Prepare the comprehensive plan for the incor-
posted territory o£ the City o£ Longwood, Florida.
b. Coordinate said comprehensive plan, or
elements or portions thereof, wvth the mmprehens ive plans of
other local goverrunents within Seminole County.
c. Make recommendations to, and othexwise advise
the City Council, vn matters relating to the adoption of a
comprehensive plan, or element or portion thereof, for the
rncoxpora ted territory o£ the City of Longwood, Florida.
d. with the express approval of the City Council
and a mun.i.cipality, provide planning data, in£orma tion, re-
commendations and a.,s ista nce to such munvcipal ity.
e. Require that all meetings o£ the Agency be
public meetings and that all Agency records be public records. ~
f. Seek through the City council and any commvt-
tees appointed thereby, vn a manner consistent with the planning
process, to obtain evt vz en and public input into all phases and
elements o£ the development of the comps ehens ive p1a n.
g. establish technical and operational procedures
for the preparation of the c prehens ive plan.
h. Do all other things required by the City
Counevl with respect to the comprehensive plan.
SECTION 5: cTUEE O
The City of. Longwood Land Planning Agency shall be `~

directly responsible to the City Council of the City of Longwood,
FSOrida, and shall be a recommendatory agency with respect to
said City Council. The Agency shall be funded by th City
Co unevl vn a manner cons vote nt with the City's budgetary process
and subject to the drs cretvon of said City Council. Employees,
officers and agents of the Agency shall be appointed or employed
by the city Council, vn vts discxet ion, and shall serve at the
pleasure of said City Council.
T ION 6: TION. This Ordinance shall be
deemed to be cumulative, supplemental and in addition to any
ocher act, law or ordinance relating to comprehensive planning
within the incorporated territory of the City of Longwood,
Florida; provided, however, that this ordinance supersedes and
repea l.s any existing planning ozdi na nce, special law or xegula-
t ron which is in direct, ureconc ilabLe conflict herewith. This
ordinance shall be libera Lly construed in order to effectively
carry out ehe purposes of this ordinance and the purposes of the
Seminole county c prehensive Land Planning Act of 19]4.

clause, phrase or word of this ord in'a nce is for any reason held
or delca red to be unconstitutional, rnopera ti.ve or void, such
holding or invalidity shall not affect the remaining p bons of
this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the 1eg-
islat ive intent to pass this ordinance without such unconstitu-
tional, invalid, or inoperative part therein, and the remainder
of this ordinance, after the excLUSion of such p t or parts,
shall be deemed and held t be valid as if such past or parts had
not been included therein. Sf this ordinance or any portion
hereof shall be held inapplicable to any person, group of p so
property, kind of property, crrcumstances, or set of cvrcumst nr ~'~
such holding shall not affect the applicability hereof to any
other person, property or cvrevms tances.
