AUTHORI2ING THE MUNICIPAL COURT TO ASSESS AND
COLLECT THF. SUM OF 51.00 AS COST AGAINST PER-
SONS CONVICTED FOR VIOLATION OF NNNICIPAL
ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF ADDITION-
AL $1.00 ON 60ND ESTREATUREB OR FORFEITED BAIL
BONDS; PROVIDING FOR COI,LECTI ON AND DEPOSITING
OF SAID COST; PROVIDING FOR USE OF SAID COST
AE LAW ENFORCEMENT EDUCATION PURPOSES; PROVLD-
ING CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, said cast authorized to be assessed is to be
used for law enfoxcemeae education expendituees £oe law enfoxce-
went officers of the municipalities; and
WHEREAS, cone tnuing education i.n the fLe1d of law
enforcement is of vvtal concern and urgent importance to main-
eaxn ing a police department of the highest antl utmost efficiency
and competency; and
WHEREAS, ehe City Council o£ the Ciey of Longwood,
Fiocida, deems it to the public inter est of health, safety, and
we lfaee of its citizens to enc ou cage continuetl educational
opportunities £or its police officers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL

SECTION I: The Mun is ipal Court of Che City of
Longwood, FLO rich, shall assess $1.00 as Court cost against
