Governor Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 20-69 which suspends all statutes that
require a quorum to be present in person or require a local government body to meet at
a specific public place. It also provides that local government bodies may utilize
communications media technology, such as telephonic and video conferencing, as
provided in section 120.54(5)(b)2, Florida Statutes. Under Executive Order 20-69, the
board will be meeting via video conference using Webex. The call-in number is 1-408-
418-9388, the meeting number(access code)is 711-594-771, and the meeting
password is Iong0528. The public may utilize the phone number to participate by
phone. The Internet is not required to participate by phone.

A. Election of Mayor Discussion questions.
1. How is the Mayor Selected? Would it be by the majority of
the Commission or direct election by the people?
2. Whether the Mayor would be equal to the other
Commissioners or a separate office.
3. How to add the Mayor into the election rotation and when?
Whether to keep five seats, one Mayor and four Commission
Districts. When would you have the Mayor election, with the
Presidential Election or Governor Election year?
4. What powers and duties will the Mayor have?
B. Review and consider preliminary recommendations of the
Charter Advisory Committee for final approval and transmittal to
the City Commission.
