A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025 BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,2025
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2026; AND PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Commission of the City of Longwood, Florida has adopted an
annual operating budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025, and ending on September
30, 2026,specifying certain projected revenues and expenditures for the operations of Longwood
municipal government; and
WHEREAS,the City has entered into agreements or issued purchase orders for the
provision of goods and services, and
WHEREAS, certain purchase orders and agreements entered into the prior fiscal
year must be moved into the current fiscal year as a requirement of the City's financial system;
and determined that the Budget for fiscal year 2025/2026 should be amended; and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of Ordinance No. 25-2272 provides for amendments of the
2025/2026 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ADOPTED IT AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Budget Amendment. The City Commission of the City of Longwood
hereby amends the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget appropriations in the Recreation Impact Fee
Fund (136) by using $10,493.84 of the impact fee fund balance to fund expense line 136-3210-
572-6400. This will be used for the installation of LED lighting for the skate park. into the Capital
Project East Longwood Septic Tank Abatement PH 2 (401-4120-536-6305) as depicted in Exhibit
"A" which is hereby attached and made part of this Resolution by reference thereto.
SECTION 2: Severability. If any section, sentence, phrase, word, or portion of
this Resolution is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, said determination shall
not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section, sentence,
phrase, word, or portion of this Resolution not otherwise determined to be invalid, unlawful, or
unconstitutional.
SECTION 3: Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect upon final passage
and adoption.
