1. CALL TO ORDER. City Clerk called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. ELECTIONS
A. Chairperson
Member Cuardrado moved to nominate Member Palmer as Chair. Seconded by Member Howe
and carried by unanimous voice vote with Members Jaffer and Paris absent.
B. Vice-Chairperson. None.
Member Cuardrado moved to nominate Member Howe as Vice-Chair. Seconded by Member
Palmer and carried by unanimous voice vote with Members Jaffer and Paris absent.
3. ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS. None.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Approve the Minutes of the July 10, 2024, Regular Meeting.
Chair Palmer moved to approve the July 10, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Member Cuardrado and
carried by a unanimous voice vote with Members Jaffer and Paris absent.
5. PUBLIC COMMENT
A. Presentation on Florida Sunshine Law by City Clerk and City Attorney.
Ms. Longo and Mr. Schafer presented a city board review which included Longwood facts, form of
government, city charter and code, board duties, Florida Sunshine Law, public records, and ethics.
