Ordinance 191 ~-J ORDINANCE NO.~~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOODp FLORIDAp AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE 162, BEING THE GENERAL WATER ORDINANCE ~ OF THE SAID CITY, '.CO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE OF CONNEC'.CION FEES, BE TT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY~OF LONGWOODg FLORIDA: 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance 162 of the City of Longwood, Florida, being the General Water Ordinance of said city, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "2. Each person dE~siring to use water from the City's water system shall first make written application to the City Clerk; such application shall give the name of the app icant and his address, a description of the premises to be served, the number of houses or estak~lishments to be served by said meter, the name of the plumber who will make the connection and such other pertinent matters as may be required by the Clerk. Such application shall be accompanied by a sum of TEN DOLLARS, ($10.00), which shall be retz~.ined by the Clerk as a deposit and returned to the applicant: upon the disconnection, providing all water bills have been paid as a result of such application and no damage is sustained to the meter as a result of such connection. All unpaid bills; and damage shall be charged against the water deposit. Should there be no meter at the required connection and it is necessary that a meter be installed, then in addition to the aforesaid deposit of TEN DOLLARS, ($10.00),, the applicant shall further pay as a connection fee the sum of SEVENTX~DOLLARS~p ($70.00), where no main is to be extended, and the sum of NINETY DOLLARS. p. ($90.00), in cases where the extending of a main is necessary." 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
