BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF LON(1WOOD, FLORIDA:
1. That Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Ord:i.nance No. 147 ~j
of the City of Longwood,; Florida, being an ordinance providing t^~
for the issuance, payment, duration, expiration, transfer and
'revocation of occupational licenses in the Cite of Longwood,
Florida, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
. "SECTION 1:. License. required; payment of fees; ~

the City Tax Collector . Such licensE~ shall be issued ~
to each person on receipt of the amounts as herein
provided by the City Tax Collector, tvho shall issue
all licenses; provided, however, no corporation
organized under the laws of the StatE~ of Florida as
a non-profit corporation shall be required to secure
any such license. Upon the issuance of any license
hereinafter provided, the license fees received
therefor become non-refundable."

SECTION 2. Duration, expiration, I~ro-ration of
. fee; delinquency; penalty. The license period i~
shall begin on the 1st day of Octobe~° of each year,
and shall end on the 30th day of Sepi;ember of each

year, on which latter day all licenses shall expire.
No license shall be issued for more than one year,
~X~
nor for less than one~year prior to .April 1st of each
year, after which date a license. for six months may be
issued., on payment of one half the amount of the annual
license fee, except as otherwise provided herein. If
any license tax provided by this Ordinance of the City
shall remain unpaid in a period of 30 days after its
due date, the license tax shall be deemed delinquent
and a penalty of ten percent (10%) of the original
license tax shall be imposed for each 30 days of such
delinquency. After the expiration of 90 days, the
failure to purchase a license shall be construed as
doing business without a license.
"SECTION 3. Transfer of licenses; transfer of fee.
a) All licenses shall be transferable with the
approval of the Tax: Collector, with the business
for which the same was issued when there is a
bona fide sale or transfer of the property used
and employed in the business as stock in trade.
The original license must be surrendered to and
filed with the City Ta;x •Collector and a fee of
$1.00 paid as hereinafter set forth in sub-
section (b) of this Section. Such transfer,
when approved, shaJ.l be of they same force and
effect as the original license.
b) Any applicant for a transfer of any package
store license, bar license, or~ beer and wine
license, which would require Examination and
investigation to determine that the applicant
possesses all of the qualifications of good
moral character, and has .:not x?een convicted of
any offense involving moral turpitude, shall be

required to pay a transfer fee of $25.00 to cover
a cost of such examination and investigation of
whether the City Council approves or disapproves
applicant 4s transfer of license.
"SECTION 4.~-~evocation The right to revoke any
license issued under the provisions of this Ordinance
or other ordinances of the City, for cause, is reserved
to the Citv Council and its said revocation shall be

"SECTION 5. License Tax Schedule. Iahx~Prson shall

license shall be issued to each person or persons upon
receipt of the amount hereinafter stated, and the same
shall be signed by the Tax Collector. Upon each of the
businesses occupations or professions, as listed in
