An Ordinance of the City of Longwood, Florida, Entitled: "An
Ordinance determing the amount and fixing the rate of taxation

and making the Annual Tax Levy for the year 1968-1969 for the
City of Longwood, Florida;

WHEREAS: The City Council of the City of Longwood, Florida,
has~here-to-fore determined by Ordinance a Budget for the operation
of the Government of the City of Longwood, Florid~~, and, WHEREAS:
it is necessary for the purpose of raising the said money that a
rate of taxation be determined and the annual Tax Levy be made;
NOu~, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA:
section 1. That the amount determined as necessary to be raised
by .taxation for the year 1968-1969 for the operation and expenses

of the City is the sum of $ 157,047.77
Section 2, That the tax levy for the year 1968-1969 is fixed for ~
the operating expense at (3.97) three & ninety-seven one hundreths
mills on the dollar. '
Section 3. That there shall be levied and collected by the City
of Longwood, Florida for the year 1968-1969 upon all non-exempt
taxable property within the corporate limits of said City a tax
of 3,97 mills on the dollar for the purpose of realizing a sum i
sufficient to meet and defray the necessary operating expenses of
said City for the ensuing fiscal year,'

1 Section 4., That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances being in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed,
Section 5. That the Ordinance shall become e;Ef ective immediately
upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor, ~
and shall be published by posting ten (10) days at the City Hall
in said City of Longwood, Florida, and two other conspicious
places within said City.
We certify that the foregoing Ordinance Baas passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Lon„wood, Florida on
