AN C?RDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION
OF J~ESSUP STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH
THE EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WA'Y BOUNDARY OF SR-427,
ALSC? KNOWN AS EAST LAKE AVENUE, EAST T.0 ITS
INTERSECTION WITH THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY
BOUNDARY OF SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD, ,LY-
ING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA.
WHE~',EAS, a Petition was .filed with the City Council of
.the City of Longwood, Florida, to close, vacate and abandon certain
platted but unopened streets within the City Limits of the City
of Longwood, Florida, to-wit:

o WHEREAS, a Notice of public hearing before the City Coun-

~~;a A. D., 1969, was published in The Sanford Herald, a newspaper-of
general circulation in Seminole County, Florida, one (1) time
fifteen (15) days prior to the date stated therein for such hear-
ing, and said Notice was further published by posting same in
three (3) pub]Lic places within the corporate limits of the. City of
Longwood, Florida, for a period of fifteen (15) days prior to the .
date stated therein for such hearing; and
WHEREAS, no one appeared before the City Council in op-
position to the same, and the City Council finding that the
closing, vacai:ing and abandoning of said portion of said street
will not have a detrimental effect to the surrounding property
areas or to the City or the public, G

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the fol;Lowing described platted but unop
ened street within the City Limits of the City of Longwood, Florida
to-wit:
That portion of Jessup Street from its intersection
with the Easterly right-of-way boundary of SR 427,
also known as East .Lake Avenue, East to its intersec-
tion with the Westerly right-of-way boundary of Sea°
board Coast Line Railroad.
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned as of this
date and the City Council renouncers any rights in the said street
as abandoned.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in _~1
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its fina]. passage and adoption.
Sect:-ion 4. If any section or portion of a section of
this OrdinancE: proves to be. invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional,
it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
ADOPTED AT A REGULAR MEETING of the City Council of the
