Ordinance 92-1114 3 ~ ~ 3 ORDINANCE NO. 92-1114 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL AND PROVID:LNG FOR COrfFLICTS; SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it is in the publi~~ interest of the citizens of Longwood and .its City employees ghat the Personnel Policies and Procedures be amended in order to implement the CHANGES TO PAGES 28 AND 184-A, attached WHEREAS, it is necessary to update and amend the Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual in order to provide proper administratior.~ and management of the Personnel Function; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FC?LLOWS: SECTION 1.: That the City of :Longwood Personnel Policies and Procedures, acre amended by the CI~iANGES TO PAGES 28 AND 184-A, ATTACHED AND DATED 3/01/93 which ]~y reference thereto is made a part of this ordinance. SECTION 2: That CHANGES TO P;~GES 28 AND 184-A, ATTACHED AND DATED 3/01/93 which by reference 1=,hereto is made a part of this ordinance, is adopted as applicaf~le to all non-bargaining unit employees, and sworn certified law enforcement personnel unless superseded by State Statutes. That: CHANGES TO PAGES 28 AND 184-A, ATTACHED AND DATED 3/01/93 which by reference thereto is made a part of this ordinance, is not ado~oted or applicable to: A. Members of the Long~iood City Commission and persons appointed to fill ~~acancies on the Longwood City Commission. B. Members appointed by the Longwood City Commission to serve on advisory committees or special boards and commissions. C. Persons retained on a contractual fee for services or retainer basis. D. Employees classified as temporary appointments or seasonal employees, except as may be specifically identified in the Personnel Policies and Procedures. E. Volunteers receiving no salary or non-monetary compensation. ORDINANCE NO. 92-1114 - PAGE.2 SECTION 3: That CHANGES TO Pi~GES 28 AND 184-A, ATTACHED AND DATED 3/01/93 which by reference 1.hereto is made a part of this ordinance, is adopted as applicable to all bargaining unit employees subject to the collectivE~ bargaining process. SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict hereurith are hereby repea:Led. SECTION 5: If any section o~~ portion of a section of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be Yield to invalidate or' impair the validity, force or effect of any other section of thi:~ ordinance. SECTION 6: This ordinance shall become effective the first of the month of i.ts final passage and adoption.
