AN O~RDINANCE.OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
AMEI~IDING CHAPTER 7 , SECT:CON 7 -14 , OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES; RELATING TO GEOGRAPHICAL
COMMISSION DISTRICTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Charier of the City of Longwood,
Florida, requires that the City C~~mmission divide the City into
five (5) geographical commission d:~stricts; and
WHEF;EAS, the, City Charter requires the City Commission to
amend the boundaries of such di;~tricts from time to time as
necessary to miaintain said districts in as nearly equal population
as practicable; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood,
Florida, has determined that the d:istricts established in Section
7-14 of the City Code require amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT EN~~CTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS :E'OLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Section 7%14, Geographical commission
districts, be and the same, is her•=by amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 7--]_4. Geographical commission districts.
(a) The city shall be divided into five (5) commission
districts described as follows:
(1) District 1: That area of Longwood lying east of
Rangeline Road extended from State Road 434 north to the
intersection of E.E. Williamson Road and Longwood Hills Road
to include Danbury Mill Subdivision, thence east on Longwood
Hills Road to the northeast corner of. CorJesu Subdivision then
south to the intersection of";A7esti~e S. Milwee Street and
State Road 434,~thence west on State Road 434 extended to the
intersection of Rangeline Road and State Road 434.
(2) District 2: That area of Longwood lying south of
SR 434. at: the westerly City limits to the intersection of SR ~'~t
434 and W~s~--~~ S. Milwee Street, thence north to the
intersection of West Church Avenue thence east to the
intersection of East Church Avenue and T~~~ Credo Street,
thence s<~uth to State Road 4;14, thence east to the easterly
~ city lim_Lts thence south to the southern city limits.

northeast. corner of CorJesu. Subdivision thence east on /

thence south to West 14th Avenue, thence east to the Seaboard
Coastline Railroad, thence run south to the southwest corner
of the Oak Villa Subdivision., thence east along the south
boundary of the Oak Villa Subdivision to the intersection
North Grant Street, thence south to the intersection of North
Grant Si~reet and Seminole Avenue, thence east to the
intersection of Seminole Avenue and Highland Street, }tee

Hill Subdivisions.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.

~ Sect:ion 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinances proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional,
it shall not be held to invalidate ~~r impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section of this ordinance.
Sect;ion 4: This ordinance shall take effect
