Alv ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA, DETERMINING T'HE AMOUNT OF AND
FIXING THE RATE OF AD VALOREM TAXATION
AIVD MAHING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2005
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2006, PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LONGWOOD FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the amount determined by the budget as necessary to be raised
by ad valorem ta~:ation in the City of Longwood, Florida, for the operation and expenses
for the administration of the affairs of the City i<.; the sum of $4,254,554.
SECTION 2: That the millage for the Fiscal Year 2005/2006 is fixed at 4.99
mills which is an increase of 8.68 per cent over the current year rolled back rate of 4.5916
as computed in accordance with F.S. 200.065.
SECTION 3: That there shall be levied and collected by the City of Longwood,
Florida, for the Fiscal Year commending October 1, 2005 and ending September 30, 2006
upon all NON-EXEMPT TAXABLE PROPERTY within the corporate limits of said
City, a tax of 4.99 mills on each dollar ofnon-e~cempt appraised value for the purpose of
realizing a sum sufficient to fund the budget and meet and defray the necessary operating
expenses of said City for the ensuing Fiscal Year.
SECTIOl`14: That the gross taxable value for operating purposes not exempt
from taxation within the City of Longwood has been certified by the Seminole County
:Property Appraiser to the City of Longwood as S897,490,587.
SECTION 5: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith, be
and the same are hereby repealed.

.SECTION 5: If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is held
to be invalid or waconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall in
no way affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 2005.
